A painting and a poem. Did you really think we’d forgotten…?

Listen.

Can you hear it?

I can. In my dreams.

I can hear the screams.

Wrapped. Muffled even. In the shocked silence of bewilderment, disbelief, fear and confusion.

Can this really be happening?

Forced.

A small space where strangers shoulders touch and chains are all that connect us.

Chains that rattle and clank against the rasp of our breathing and motion tearing strips of skin from wrists and ankles.

Together for what will be the beginning of a long, long journey.

A journey we don’t understand or ask for.

But with a blood-stained ticket that will remain valid for all of our existence.
